Lindi Badenhorst

Lindi’s intense love for artistic expression through abstract painting mostly draws conceptually from the medium itself. Although she is inspired by her everyday surroundings her paintings are hardly ever realistic reproductions. The works are driven by perception of emotions, moods and everyday moments in an intuitive manner.

Her works are built with subtle delicate layers that leads to responses that develop by adding layer upon layer to create depth and textural complexity.

Colours form intriguing abstract landscapes and visual feasts. Her work is about layering and texture and she invites the viewer to interpret the work in their our way. Thundering with sheer joy, contemplating the layers and falling into the blue this body of work is a celebration of colour and in particular her love for Blue.

Over the years Lindi has participated in numerous group exhibitions and is represented by Art it Is Gallery, Parkwood and Woodstock, South Africa. She has also sold work on an international base in countries such as Australia, London, Mauritius and Dubai.
