Maya Ramishvili’s work “Four Seasons” - winter, spring, summer and autumn - all are presented as four women – nymphs or Naiads who have come from dreams. Their soft figures, tender, as if they are dressed in featherless lacy dresses, form one united pattern. Soft lines and pastel colours give a viewer just pleasant thoughts. The beauties are allocated in a circle dance, as if following each other. Their arms also form an interrupted circle which tells us about a seamless passing of time and reminds us of a change of seasons. When you look at these four female characters, you cannot guess which girl is which season, because the time cycle goes smoothly, and seasons change each other insensible, and each season is beautiful in its own right.
