She has been active as an author for about 10 years, expanding her activities by participating in numerous events, art museums, and competitions both domestically and internationally. Japan possesses a unique aesthetic sensibility that is embodied and passed down through traditional patterns, most of which have meanings and are imbued with wishes for nurturing the future. She integrates these patterns and old sayings with her unique sensibility, blending modern and ancient designs. By using traditional handmade Japanese paper, she aims to harmonize tradition and modernity.
This is a work that metaphorically represents sensory aspects using animals. It depicts a peacock that absorbs and digests perceptions, thoughts, intentions, and identifications, spreading its beautiful wings. Along with the other six pieces, it forms a connected story. The pieces are colored with colored pencils and pastels on handmade Japanese paper, each meticulously carved and layered by hand to create shadows. The appearance changes depending on the viewing angle and lighting, making light, shadow, and space all integral parts of the artwork.
