From the perspective that we value the uniqueness of Japan, which is different from the West, we introduce the products made in Japan with great care and attention to even the smallest unseen details, hoping to popularize them overseas and create a new trend for Japan of tomorrow. Our goal is not simply to sell Japanese products overseas because they are old or unusual. Rather we aim to supply authentic items of excellence to those with a true aesthetic sense. In part, we try to develop entirely new “Made in Japan” products through collaboration with artisans and contemporary artists; a fusion of sophisticated and detail-focused craftsmanship cultivated over many years and the visions of artists with an intimate awareness of the current mode. We will create truly one-of-a-kind items, developing and introducing all new masterpieces of “Unfamiliar Japan.”Nishijin textile is a wonderful traditional Japanese craft that has continued for more than 1,000 years, but nowadays even Japanese people don't wear kimonos, so the demand has decreased dramatically and the number of craftsmen has decreased from 1,000 to 100. A few Nishijin companies have started to produce them not as kimonos, but as arts. Obis are displayed as tapestries. Paintings by Van Gogh, Klimt, Hokusai and others are woven and framed. We would like to introduce this amazing traditional technique as an art form to preserve it now.
