(Profile )

Born in Tokyo, Akino Miyakoshi has been creating artwork for 15 years. When young, she was attracted to the colors and patterns of clothes, and she enjoyed drawing. In her twenties, she began creating when her interest in Japanese painting was triggered by her encounter with Jakuchu ITO, a painter active in the middle of the Edo era. She continues to create works based on her motto of “playing with colors” as she pursues the unique texture of the drawings and the infinite possibilities that exist in Japanese painting. Not limited to Japanese painting, she also spends her days pursuing new expressions including fashion, makeup and mural painting.
